I should’ve known what he was up to when he walked by with a bungee cord, tape and scissors 😆

We were on the island when the windstorm hit the o

We were on the island when the windstorm hit the other week. The waves were crashing so hard it seemed like the shore was just going to break right off, the trees were swaying so much it appeared as if they were going to topple over at any point. Everything moved but very little broke. Then the storm ended and sure there was some shedded debris around but… that’s it. It really hit me how the earth just accepts what’s there that day, with no resistance. If the trees had resisted, they’d snap. If the shoreline had stayed rigid, it would’ve eroded much more. The wind blew the storm clouds away and a calm, sunny sky was left behind.
The natural give and take, push and pull, chaos to calm I witnessed right in front of me was a powerful lesson.

Sometimes I feel like I’m in a sitcom, anyone else?! 😆

We are on the other side, omg! This weekend we wen

We are on the other side, omg! This weekend we went for a nice long family bike ride on Saturday, had a date night, stayed up past bedtimes, had neighbours do a pizza/movie night with all three of our kids, did lots of different things with the kiddos all weekend…. all because… we don’t have a baby anymore!!! I’m so so grateful to have been able to have babies but phew, I’m excited to be onto the next stage!! So anyway, if you’re in the trenches of babies and young kids… I’m here to tell you, it’s a phase! When it’s done, it’s done! I’m so glad I savoured the moments of little ones… makes me all the more grateful to be where we are now 💜
